This course is an opportunity to hand craft and fit a wooden handle to the knife you forged with us previously. During this hands on experience you will work primarily with hand tools to turn your forged blade into the complete knife you can be proud of. You will create your handle from seasoned ash however we do stock a variety of exotic woods which can be purchased on the day to elevate your blade to the next level.
This highly satisfying and rewarding experience is suitable for everybody regardless of skill level.

Guidelines for Taking Part
Our experience day packages are physically demanding and have the potential for minor injury. Therefore, please seek advice from your doctor or our booking team if you’re unsure.
Be sure to dress accordingly, remembering that in the colder months it can get pretty chilly inside the workshop, despite the fires! Please wear long trousers and suitable footwear.
Make sure you follow the guidance on our website and what’s sent to you ahead of the event. And always listen to the instructions of our expert team on the day.
Availability
The Forge is open all year round, seven days a week. The Wood workshop is only open on a Wednesday & Sunday 9am until 3pm. Our online booking system will show you the availability in real time. Please be aware that weekends should be booked well in advance!

The price of this booking covers one person to hand craft and fit their very own handle. Ash scales are included in the workshop, but upgrades are available so that your handle is completely bespoke & unique.
